Calendula oil is an oleolite, obtained from the maceration of calendula officinalis flowers in a vegetable oil, and endowed with a powerful eudermic action, because it is able to improve the state of the skin; useful in all those cases where it is irritated and cracked. Marigold oil is also a great ally of mothers: in fact it soothes and protects the sensitive and irritable skin of the newborn and baby; moreover, if used in advance it counteracts the formation of fissures at the breast of the breastfeeding mother, and is also capable of quickly healing those already present.
Properties and benefits of calendula oil
Calendula oleolite has an emollient, soothing, calming, anti-inflammatory and healing effect on sensitive or irritated skin. These eudermic properties are conferred to the plant by the presence in its phytocomplex of essential oil, fatty acids, salicylic acid, saponins, carotenoids, including calendulin, pentacyclic triterpenes, flavonoids, polysaccardi and mucilage.
